NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month is a worldwide writing event in which participants challenge themselves to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November.
Challenge yourself from November 1 to November 30 as you write and plot out your novel with the goal of completing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30th.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)'s website has many tools to get your started before November.
To participate you can signup with NaNoWriMo’s official site by following these easy steps:

4. Earn Badges. Award yourself badges to celebrate your personal peaks as you embark on your creative path.
5. Use Resources for inspiration. Including the ones on this guide.
6. Start Writing. Update your Word count using the dashboard.
7. Claim Your Win. Paste the full text of your novel into the Word Count Validator to win. (Beginning November 20th.)
