One Button Studio Go Guide

What is the One Button Studio Go?

The One Button Studio Go is a dedicated recording area for currently enrolled students for academic, non-commercial projects and assignments.

Faculty are also welcome to use the space for activities such as lectures and presentations. Faculty can also use the One Button Studio Go to create projects for their own research and/or professional development.

Macon Campus

The Macon OBS is located on the first floor of the Macon Campus Library. Depending on the entrance, the OBS will be to the on your left from the TEB entrance or to the left of the stairs from the Jones parking lot. If you need directional assistance, please ask the staff member at the front desk. 

 

Cochran Campus

The Cochran OBS will be coming soon!

Appointments

Appointments can be made through the Schedule Appointment button under the profile picture or this link directly: https://mga.libcal.com/appointments/zacharybrigmond. If the link does not work, please copy and paste the link into a browser. 

What can you do with an appointment:

You can reserve the space for 45 minutes or have an instruction session on how to operate the OBS. Please mention which option you would like in the appointment.

Note: First time users are encouraged to make an appointment to learn how to operate the OBS.

Already know how to use the OBS?

Students, Faculty, and Staff that are comfortable with the OBS are free to use the OBS anytime during library operating hours. 

Uh OH, the OBS is not working?

If there are any issues, please do not hesitate to contact the technology librarian or visit the front desk.

How to Record with the One Button Studio Go

1. Adjust table to preferred height. 5. Begin speaking when go light turns red.
2. Use control panel to select preferred display. 6. Review presentation when completed.
3. Turn off room light. 7. Press save button to generate QR code.
4. Press large red button. 8. Email code to self and view on Vimeo.

What Does That Button Do?

Flip allows you to decide which way you are facing the camera.

Hide removes the presentation and/or presenter from the recording.

Move adjust where the slide show and presenter are on the screen.

Pick shows various presenter backgrounds. Custom images are available. 

Users can adjust the microphone’s gain lower or higher. 

Logo changes or removes the logo as needed. Logos can be customized.

Review shows the finished video to the viewer.

Save generates QR code for video retrieval from the Vimeo website.
