The makerspaces are areas in the Cochran and Macon libraries for currently enrolled students to use equipment for academic, non-commercial projects and assignments. Academic projects are given precedence over personal projects.
The spaces contain large format printers, button makers, Cricuts, laminators, and 3D printers. Students must make appointments to use the equipment. More information about the equipment can be found below. Students are allowed up to five items from each piece of equipment per semester. These amounts reset each semester.
Faculty are also welcome to use the spaces for classroom assignments such as research posters and presentations. Faculty can also use the spaces to print posters for their own research projects and/or professional development.
Faculty and staff looking to create printed materials and swag for their department or clubs should contact the university’s Office of Marketing and Communications (https://www.mga.edu/marketing-communications/index.php).
